Challenge
Building trust in fintech is hard. FYNCR needed to connect users' bank accounts and credit cards while making them feel safe doing it. The product had to work seamlessly across iOS and Android, handle sensitive financial data, and make credit card rewards actually useful.
Solution
Created complete user flows from onboarding through daily use in Figma. Designed a cohesive brand identity that communicates security and value. Built the mobile app UI in React Native with TypeScript, using MongoDB for data storage and Node.js for the backend API. Integrated Plaid API for secure bank connections. Tested the credit repayment interface with real users, then redesigned based on their feedback. Collaborated closely with iOS and Android engineers to ensure designs translated properly to native code.
Results
Launched successfully and raised a seed round. The clear user experience and professional design helped convince investors the team could execute. Users praised the intuitive interface for managing multiple credit cards. The design system we built scaled smoothly as features were added after launch.
